This one is the horror genre. And if you didn’t know that about the one of the most popular TV shows, you must have been living in another time.
The opening of the drama is a bang as a women is unnaturally stuck to the ceiling above her child’s crib and burn in front of her husband. That is seriously messed up and seriously horrific.
The first episode shows the survival of the man with his two sons who go on for 20 years in hunting business, set to find the unnatural killer. This is a different kind of hunting, not the forest kind or the Twilight Saga kind.
This hunting involves all things supernatural. The brother duo set out to search for their dad and zap a ghost while they are at it. The unwilling Sam and the big brother Dean when decide to return things to their original state (Sam studying and Dean hunting), Sam’s girlfriend dies the same way as his mother.
The unwilling Sam is now way to willing in the next episode. He just wants to find his dad to get answers about his girlfriend’s death.
It seems like their dad set a trail of bread crumbs leading to one place or another with a problem, which the duo takes up as their duty to solve. This time it involves zapping a wendigo (more like lighting it up). What is that you ask? I guess Sam and Dean can explain it better than me.
Both episodes had somewhat happy endings (or better endings) as the show comes to an end.
Even though I am not a horror fan, as the genre states in this series. But the episodes give more of a fantasy feeling.
And may I just say, OMG! The actors are super awesome, they switch from serious to joking to business in no time, and it doesn’t even seem like an awkward transition.
Who are you Team Dean or Team Sam? Do let me know your fav and I will let you know mine.
Note: I think the victim in the second episode looked a lot like Enrique Iglesias.
