This episode takes us through that desirable moment in our teenage life where we wanted one thing that we exceptionally excel at. Sabrina wants it too and decides to take it through magic.
She takes a Physical Education (P.E.) class which has Mr. Pool teaching kung fu. It seems to naturally excel at it, so Mr. Pool enters her in the competition. Her aunt discover her doing and ask her to do the right thing.
I like the right-wrong clock that points at your conscience. Nice touch. Helda gives her example as she practices for the 1st chair audition. When she comes back with second chair honestly, Sabrina comes back with first price by magic.
I like the trophy which keeps teasing her. She put it in the freezer to shut it up. When she takes a rematch to return the trophy and clear her conscience, it is funny how she looses it with her non-magical kung fu skills.
The trophy this times teases her of being loser rather than cheater. Good riddance of the offensive trophy. By the end, as Zelda and Sabrina wish that Helda had won the 1st chair, instead of the 2nd, we see Helda at her performance.
The end is comical as she vanishes the cocky man in the first chair and everybody shifts a chair forward as the musical starts.
For the next episode we see a super duper cocky Salem who gets his lesson. As he gets in fight with everybody on Christmas eve, everyone just ignores him.
He goes to the pizza place with Sabrina and chases a mouse causing Sabrina to be kicked out for accusing the shop of rats.
She leaves him in the alley out of a fight. Later they discover that he had been taken home by a mean kid. Fun thing is, he is getting a good lesson as the kid drapes the cat in apink gown.
The Christmas guests are also a comic case, the cousin Monty with his sailor cap and his super flexible friend, Lulu. Monty proposes to Lulu considering she was poor and she gifts him gold cigarette case telling him, she is loaded. I had to end up laughing at that. We also see Salem’s accomplice, another human turned animal due to world domination plans.
Well, Salem comes home less cocky (less meaning, no problems for maximum 10 days) and loving his Christmas present (colorful gift wrapping papers).
Sabrina episodes are and will always be something refreshing and lighthearted things to see at the end of a long day.
