I couldn’t wait to start watching this episode right after the interesting cliffhanger. And it remains so. Na Na, takes the documents she came for, and leaves, not giving Lee the chance to explain. Soo Hee, angry and pissed at Prosecutor Kim, lets him understand whatever he wants to and leaves the scene too.
While Prosecutor’s office finds Steve Lee (Jin Pyo), as the matching person to the profile, they have been searching for, thus Prosecutor Kim arrives at Jin Pyo’s house under the pretext of investigation.
They talk and Kim secretly takes Jin Pyo’s finger prints from a glass (which, later we see, are fake). Meanwhile Na Na is sitting at the food stall (run by Lee’s mother) cribbing about Lee. Lee’s mother and Na Na seem to have a friendly and kind relationship developed through acquaintance.
Later he heads home and explains himself. When he eats the dishes given by his mother, he feels like seeing her. Lee goes along with Na Na to return the boxes but has to carry his mother home due to her poor health. Jin Pyo secretly sees the scene of Lee helping his mother. It is sad how he can’t tell her his real identity.
Next day, Lee visits the lady and feeds her wrong information and a wrong name. He says sorry and we see that he might even mean it but I am suspicious that he is also doing it to eliminate the possibility that Lee and his mother cannot reconcile with each other even though coincidental mentions.
Later, Go Gi Joon returns with clearance (seems like his brother confessed). President also visits the Intelligence security Department and asks Lee to tutor Da Hye. Unable to refuse the president he agrees. Happy with the news Da Hye comes down on Lee but he brushes her off again describing his type in a way that resembles Na Na. Na Na overhears but naively assumes it to be someone else.
Now, Lee and Cook Shim decide to set a trap for the sons of Yong Hak, who was exempted from military due to a bad health conditions but accepted into US Marine Research Institute (whose pre-requisite is perfect health condition).
It puzzles me why Cook Shim hides from Na Na while following Yong Hak around. He even calls Lee to help Na Na when she is in trouble. Later, everyone has drinks together and Da Hye flirts some more.
The next day, trap is into play as Cook Shim and Lee both disguise as Institute Representatives and tell the two elder sons that they can’t get in the academy because of bad health records. The sons easily come out with the truth and hand in their right health records. Lee cleverly enrols them in the country’s military program with the right health record. It increases Yong Hak’s chances of presidency though his family is in upheaval.
Prosecutor’s office also make considerable development in the investigation against the Mars inc. They run high and low to bring down the presidential candidate as his last day of campaign commences. But he rushes over as the news comes out that Yong Hak is kidnapped.
Lee does the kidnapping but Na Na going to check on the candidates and discover fallen bodyguards. She takes charge of the situation. Lee is also present in the building (unknown to anybody). As Lee ties up the unconscious candidate, Na Na finds him by the balcony. It is also interesting how very easily Yong Hak became unconscious.
She warns him not to move, but as he is about to jump and escape, she shoots him.
Awwwww….!!! And they had romance brewing. I wonder when she will find out his real identity and when she does, will she feel guilty for shooting him now.
Another cliff hanger!!! It seems to me that the director of City Hunter is man perfect with creating cliff hangers.
