Dragon: Race to the Edge continues as vastly thickened plot awaits the new season. What do we known by now? Spolier Alert : We know that Dagger freed his sister in the last moments and Hiccup lost while the villans escaped. I still wish there was more Astrid and Hiccup action coming along, just a tiny bit more. From here on, it continues.
More *Spoiler Alert* awaits:
E1: Toothless is hit with ‘the’ deadly arrow and Dagger saves him.
E2: Fireworm Queen seeks help from Snoutloud & his dragon. On of my favourite scene is here.
E3: When whole bunch of Night Terrors are found by FishLegs.
E4: Stoick & SpiteLoud learn to work together. Magnificent Dragon Cameo!
E5: Astrid is hit by a legendary disease known as the curse or scrung of Odin and her friend race to cure her. Buffalord is my fav after Nightfury
E6: The dragon Prasite makes all the dragons crazy and they are restored. Eventually! Do watch this for the chicken humor.
E7: Heather and Heather problems get dealed with
E8: Caged dragon fight episode with Nightfury
E9: Baby Deathsong dragon (non veg dragon) episode
E10: Episode for 2 captive Quakers and hero Fishlegs
E11: This is a Dagger Episode. Please watch- great character development
E12: The riders hit Vigo’s Dragon aution with some gains and losses in the end.
E13: Vigo uses the riders as a distraction to steal a great dragon.
The 3rd Season of Dragon: Race to the Edge is a new chapter in the Netflix’s Dragon series with a lot more room (episodes) featuring never before seen dragons. The characters in this series are also widened to make room for other character to play a part like Yohan, Stoick, Spiteloud and Gobber. By the end of the series, Heather and Dagger also become a dearly remembered and loved characters. Amongst the main cast, Fishlegs had the most character development (not to mention an admirer: Heather) and Astrid got some much deserved scene focuses. Tuffnut and Snoutloud also get dedicated episodes and Ruffnut gets a little push of character here and there. I even started to see a sensibility in the twin’s maddness.
My two wishes came true: small chemistry development between Hiccup and Astrid and Dreamworks moon featuring Nightfury! Yooohooo
The end of Seaon 3 gives way to new characters in Season 4. We will just have to wait and watch.
E1: The whole episode revolves around the rescue of the new island it’s creature, Eruptadon. Do watch the episode just for the ending scene.
E2: Gruffnut, worshiped by Tuff and doubted by Ruff, tries to steal dragons. Cunning guy! But the chicken is cunning too!
E3: The episode revolves around the bounty on Hiccup’s head, his capture (
multiple times) and rescue.
E4: Snoutloud dedication: bad advice turns everything upside down but ends well. If you are interested in dragon root mystery, watch this one.
E5: 2 stories: Snoutloud’s trial to be king and finding Dagger.
E6: This one is all about the big Tidal Wave dragon and Vigo’s mean ways.
E7: Hilarious! Everybody is disoriented with lack of sleep and Hiccup tries to escape dragons in that state.
E8: The rider’s teams gets a great victory by finding all the gold (after a good struggle)
E9: Time to save the Eruptadon Egg and meet Hic-Legs (geeking out)
E10: Twins accidently stumble into the plans of Vigo, a giant enclosed ship (dragon proof)
E11:Astrid looses her sight and learns to work with it. In the end, Astrid and Hiccup come together. If you have been anticipating romance, watch everything from here on!
E12: Vigo and Ricker keep telling the same story against one another, while the weaponsised dragon attacks every island.
E13: The Submaripper saves the day while the Vigo-Ricker confusion gets messier
This season of Draon: Race to the Ddge took a big leap in the character development of Snoutloud (he gets an admirer Queen Mala: new and interesting character, not my fav though) and the twins. We also see major Hiccup-Fishlegs geek moments and almost every episode is full of Vigo (almost). There is a little of Astrid here and there and ofcourse, a whole lot of new dragons. Each episode is pretty adventurous and ofcourse hilarious. The last twist of Vigo-Ricker was a great ending for this series My most hilarious moments were the sleep deprivation and the chicken warnings against Gruffnut. For me, some of the most amazing scenes were blind Astrid episode and Hiccup’s water invention. In the end, there aren’t many must watch episodes, though. And as I wished, there is finally an indication of Hiccup-Astrid angle along with Fishlegs-Heather angle!
Stay tuned for a bird’s eye view of the next two series and let’s geek out about our favourite scenes in the comment below! What say you…?
